School’s out and we are just getting started!

Pack 254 doesn’t pack it in for the summer. From tie-dye to rockets to ice cream socials, wildlife hikes, and a fall open house, we’ve got six chances for new families to come hang out, ask questions, and see what Cub Scouts is really about. No commitment, no uniform required: just show up.

About Us

We are a Cub Scout pack located in SW Portland, Oregon, primarily serving the Hayhurst and Maplewood neighborhoods, though we welcome youth from any school situation that feels Pack 254 is the right fit for them!  

Rising 1st – 5th graders can join at any time; kindergarteners can join in the fall. Our first Pack Meeting for the 2026-2027 Scouting year will be Thursday September 10th at 6:30pm at St. Barnabas.

Cub Scouts organize by den (grade level) and pack (everyone K-5). The dens meet once per month to complete age-appropriate adventures, and the pack meets once per month every 2nd Thursday. The monthly den meetings are held on Wednesdays or Thursdays of other weeks. Additionally the pack hosts exciting events 1-2 times a month, usually on weekends.
